The Day The Earth Stood Still

A message to you all. DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM

Keanu Reeves is awesome, we know that.
Jayden Smith did a great job in Pursuit of Happyness, we know that.
Almost everybody you will know loves alien-related movies, we know that.

But if you havn't seen this movie then you won't know this.
IT SUCKED

Keanu didn't act, he walked around like a zombie. Smith jr. seemed like a whiney little kid to me (the graveyard scene is the worst emotional acting I have ever seen) and the plot just went on and on as if they were making it up as they went. Everytime something serious happened I couldn't help but laugh at how shit it was.

BEWARE OF SPOILERS FROM THIS POINT ON

For example Keanu goes into the forest. The other 2 stay at the edge of the woods and then all spooky and serious you see the creepy light shining through the trees. it reminded me so much of that simpson's episode where they think an alien comes out of the forest but it's really mr. burns drugged up on his old-man medication. I nearly snorted it was so bad.

And of course there was a sappy sloppy drenched in empathy kind of ending. The alien realises the human race can learn from their mistakes and calls off the attack by sacrificing himself. #throws up#

So I am labeling this
A Big Orb of Sappy Cliche' Gunk coated in a layer of Mainstream Sci-Fi at its worst

How could Keanu Reeves do this to himself. I reckon he so awesome he is a spaceman sharing his talents with planet earth but this was just sickening.
3 out of 10.
